I am a clinical and industrial pharmacist and strategic consultant to the U.S. Government on contract law, intellectual property and new drug development. My career is defined by navigating the rigorous technical and regulatory landscapes required to bring life-saving therapeutics from the laboratory to the public.
My professional approach—rooted in risk management and precise execution—is a direct extension of a life lived in high-consequence environments. Before focusing on pharmaceutical consulting, I served as a commercial, multi-engine pilot, an experience that ingrained in me the “pilot-in-command” mentality essential for managing complex, multi-input, data driven environments, which is the same as in the real world when you graduate.
When I am away from the consulting table, I pursue technical mastery through activities that demand intense focus and reactive timing. Whether I am navigating a technical ascent as a rock climber, maintaining a pace on my road bike, or refining my accuracy as a skeet shooter, I thrive on the challenge of technical disciplines.
I believe that the same discipline required to command an aircraft or consult on federal drug law and policy is what drives a successful climb: a commitment to preparation, a steady hand under pressure, and an unwavering focus on the objective.
These are the same skills that will make you master law school and your career beyond.
I take my law tutoring responsibility very seriously. I expect my students to arrive fully prepared for each tutoring session. This means that you have thoroughly reviewed all your classroom notes, assigned cases, code sections, etc., and do your best to understand the materials to the best of your abilities; I do not expect you to know everything. By arriving prepared, we spend our time walking through all areas of uncertainty so that you reach full understanding and mastery. It is your professor’s job to tach you; it is your job to work hard and prepare yourself as much as possible; it is my job to demystify the rules and concepts with which you are struggling.
I provide my services as more of a mentor My overall approach is that of a mentor. My goal is to build students up, using focused feedback, discussion, and a relaxed, informal style. I do not simply tell a student the answer to a question or problem. Rather, through back and forth discussion using focused questions, that I adjust based on the student’s responses, the student actually leads her/himself to fully understanding the question or problem at hand.
This is also why it is so important for students to arrive to each tutoring session fully prepared.
Most importantly, I teach law students how to become great attorneys. My guiding principle is to make a positive difference in how my students find the study of law as well as ensuring that my students meet their own goals. Hard working students make great attorneys. My goal is to make you a great attorney who loves the law.
As part of my law tutoring practice, all of my students are given my contact details and the assurance that if they need me I am always available, regardless of the time zone in which the student located. I am always just a phone call or email away, and texting usually gets the fastest response. I generally work east coast office hours, however I always make time for my students, including evenings and weekends. As both a tutor and a mentor, my students feel confident that they are receiving the best possible service and support from me. I build lasting relationships with my students because I really do care about each and every one of them. If a student has an emergency, I will always make myself available to help and support them.
I am an extremely reliable, trustworthy, and ethical individual. I consistently provide excellent quality work for both my law practice clients as well as my students. When I commit to law tutoring a student, I always ensure that I understand their unique needs and expectations so that the student always feels understood, supported, and valued. This enables me to meet my students’ expectations, reduce (or even eliminate) their anxiety, and provide a law school experience that is actually worry free, fun, and exciting. Yes, law school and the study of law can actually be fun! I rarely take a day off and my laptop comes everywhere with me so I can be available to my students as and when they need me. This allows me to provide first class service where students can count on me.
I believe that the most important element of a quality service, as defined by the customers, is a quick response time. As a consultant, I make and manage my own schedule, which allows me great flexibility and, availability to my students. I am almost always able to respond to any query within 2 hours during office hours. On weekends and evenings new students can expect a response time of less than 24 hours, however I endeavour to respond as soon as practically possible. If you get my voicemail, just drop me a message and I will respond within 2 hours, if at all practicable. There will be times when I am in an extended meeting or, busy with multiple students, but I will nevertheless do my best to respond within 2 hours. Texting is always the fastest way to get my attention.
